It had been a tough day at school, mainly because a mild earthquake had rattled the windows, and the students, during the first class period. When the final bell sounded, the teachers went to the work room to prepare their next days classes, and four of them, a math teacher, a history teacher and two science teachers, got into a discussion. One of the science teachers commented that the 'quake had occurred in the middle of discussion of plate tectonics and their relationship with earthquakes. The math teacher said that her students were in the middle of a unit on the stock market recently, when the market took a sudden plunge. The other science teacher said that just a week ago, his class on storms was interrupted by a violent thunderstorm complete with thunder, lightning, rain, wind and even small hail. That's when the history teacher, gasped and exclaimed, "Oh no! I'm just finishing up a unit on World War II, and tomorrow's lesson is about the atomic bomb!" Howard
