When I was still unmarried and living at home with my parents, we once lost the remote control. We looked everywhere we could think of, all over the house. Not a trace. After a month of two of now remote control, my dad finally broke down and bought a new, programmable remote that would work with our TV and VCR.

Then we found the old one...in the couch.
