I just came back from my Craft of Fiction Workshop class, were we discussed my first story for the class. The actually liked it! And best of all, they said the LAUGHED! I wrote it to be funny but I was still nervous no one would laugh. They said they laughed out loud!
Oh, and I'm 'post-modern.' I wrote 'metafiction.' Whoo hoo hoo, how classy I didn't realize my story was post-modern, just weird. And I've never heard of metafiction before (it is writing a story that comments on writing stories).
I can't share the story here because the hero, Job, swears. Only PG leavel, but this is ussally a G site. If anyone wants to read it e-mail me at jcharneskie@elmira.edu or jcharneskie@yahoo.com and I'll send you a copy.
