Or me, who realizes my text is constantly littered with grammatical and syntactical errors against proper "book English". But long ago I decided to write how I speak, or how I would /like/ to speak, and trust that my writing retains sufficient clarity to convey my point adequately. So you might find me writing "there's words enough," and not correct suchlike, because that's what I *would* say colloquially.

Of course, if I were writing to the Queen or the PM or in a formal letter of complaint to Sam (as an example), I WOULD strive for accurate English :-)

There's also evidence that superior poets tend to have always produced superior prose, indicating that a foundation in the basics is essential.
