> As we are talking about name aliases, and I am in a particularly audacious mood, by way of introduction I should say that I am Wolfspirit. In RinkChat, I am the Wolf. I have been physically here on RW for about a year and a half, and here in Spirit for much longer. In real life, I count among my aliases the name 'Fox' (what they call me at work), and 'Wong' (what the Canadian government calls me), plus 'Don'* (what all my blood-relatives call me), and 'Monkey'** (what my Mother calls me). Well, we all wear many different hats to many different people, so do not fear that your own identity is split by your having three aliases, yourself. > > * and ** editorial note: It is only by fortunate coincidence that we have another Canadian here by the name of "Don, the Monkeyman." Don is the very image of gentlelovingkindness. Likewise is Sam Stoddard, the Creator of this website, whom we hold in highest esteem. As for me, I am merely a doyen of RinkWorks; as well as Thirdmost amongst the Elect after SAM; and Sensei of Butt-kickin' for the Good. > > Wolf "Hey! Rinkworks is to messagechat as Calvinball is to sports" spirit
Um, wow. Let me start by thanking you for the praise of my "gentlelovingkindness". Let me also thank you for what I still consider one of the best compliments: Comparing me to Sam. I am SURE that by now Sam must be getting just a little tired of my constant fawning, but I am STILL amazed by the community he has managed to create here... Granted, I am starting to acknowledge more and more the roles that our other admins, Dave and Leen, have played in that process. I had the honor of being compared to Dave the other day, but that was in regard to our reaction to women aged 18+, so I'm not sure if that's the sort of comparison I'm looking for. ;-)
But I digress (as I do so often). I must say that your revelation of your other nicknames comes at a very interesting and coincidental time-- I have been "signing" my posts with the moniker "Don Monkey" for a week or two now, and that matches EXACTLY with your nicknames... Kind of spooky, almost. Not that it's a bad thing. I am glad to have something in common with the Don Monkey of eastern Canada, so long as we don't start confusing people with it.
Well, that's enough unfocused rambling for this morning. I think I'll head over to RinkChat and check out the Stupid Day festivities which I'm sure are in full force now (or perhaps see all the NEW Stupid Day features which are enticing me!)
