My first experience with Dixie Cups was when I was a kid. They always contained ice cream and came with a little flat wooden spoon. We had a choice between a cone and a Dixie Cup. After you finish the ice cream, you always put the cup down on the ground and stomp it to get a loud pop. Only recently, I learned that the name was the name of the company that made the cup and not the ice cream. I also learned that they can have other uses. Even now, I wonder if I could resist making them pop. Howard PS - Note to Travholt: Don't you mean "waste?" H
