Sounds like something out of one of my silly-books - the Harvard Lampoon's "Bored of the Rings." It's a wonderful parody or LotR, featuring the Elf "Legolam" and the dwarf "Gimlet," which was what I thought the reference was to, originally.
Interesting aside - Boromir (don't remember his parody-name) gets a prophesy: "Your height is 6'4", two-fifty's your weight, you cash in your chips around page ninety-eight." I really should dig that up sometime and read it again. :-}
