I was reading Parade this morning and got into one of those things that lists interesting stories of the last year. There was one about this couple who had to get married without a wedding ring, because the dog swallowed it. They even had an Xray to prove it. While they were on their honeymoon the groom's mother kept a close eye on the dog. Sure enough, he barfed the ring up and the mother said, "It didn't come out the way we expected."

And that's my best quote of 2000.
