I personally don't like beer, but I can almost tolerate an English digestif called a "Black Velvet," which is one part fresh apple cider carefully topped off with an equal part of creamy Guinness.

Both are good frosty beverages. However, I prefer lagers to ales -- Fosters and Harp are two of my favorite mass-produced beers.

Both the wife and I enjoy sampling various micro-brews and regional beers. There's an awfully good line of frosty adult beverages put out by River Horse, over in west New Jersey.
