Hey all, as stated in the charter, I am posting about my trip this Christmas season. I went to Colorado to see my brother and his family. We left on Friday the 22nd, at around 5 o'clock. A long drive was ahead of us, but then my dad said he found a way that would only take us 14 hours, instead of 16, which is fine with me. I hate driving forever. About midnight, we were in Gallup N.M., and my dad sadi he was dead tired, so we pulled into a motel and slept for 5 hours or so. Well, I didn't really sleep, because I was cold and in the same bed as my brother, who tosses and turns and kicks all night. The next morning, we headed out, and tried to find a Denny's or something. We finnaly found one, and had a good meal. Then we were out on the road again. About 11 or so, my da dfinally lets me drive a bit. I drove for a couple of hours, and then he took back over. I like driving, but I hate riding...oh well, like father like son I guess. About 1 or so, we finally pulled into La Junta, where Tim (my older bro) lives. He wasn't home, so we went to his resteraunt, The Hog's Breath. They have great steaks. we met him there, he let us in the house, and then his wife and my kids came home. They are getting big. I love them so much, but I don't get to see them very often, so they kind of don't know me. Oh well. So to make this speed up a little: We spent three days two nights there, did nothing much but play with the kids and eat a lot. It snowed on Christmas day, which is a first for me. It was hard to say goodbye, but we also really wanted to go home. I devolped a cold and wasn't feeling good, and my dad had to go back to work. But there was a problem...we couldn't go back the same way we came. The highway in N.M. was snowed in..so we had to drive through Denver, then on to Utah, then back down to Vegas. 20 hours of driving...yay. So we got back home about 11 p.m. I was so sleepy I couldn't think straight. so now I am home and happy to be back. My girl gets back on the 14th of January, and I have a special "I missed you so much present" waiting. Ok enough rambling.
