Au contraire, mon frer!
I recently spent a week in NYC visiting my family, and my cat Chloe was left at home. My boyfriend's mother came over twice a day to feed her and play with her. I would think that Chloe would be happy to be left alone for a while--I'm always picking her up and kissing her, and she always responds by punching me. But when I came home, I was treated to a fantastic display of crazy cat love.
