Divorce has a lot to do with the worldwide manifestation of the phenomenon you illustrateded. I come from a family sprinkled with divorce and remarriages, so I end up celebrating multiple times. Same with Thanksgiving, except then I just eat two dinners in one day (and gain five pounds in ten hours *grin*!!!).
