My Christmas wish is that all of you will have a day filled with family, friends, presents and food. If you don't get what you wished for, maybe you will at least have plenty of grits and country ham with red-eye gravy, RC Cola and Moon Pies, GooGoo Clusters, fruit cake, and egg nog. It doesn't get much better than that. If you don't get snow, maybe you'll at least get a solar eclipse. If you don't get a new car, maybe your old one will survive the holidays without breaking down. If you don't get a new, warm jacket, maybe it will be because you live in a warm climate. And maybe you'll get one of those priceless surprises like the sudden, unexpected appearance of someone you were going to miss terribly. And most of all, I hope that you can be the one who salvages a happy Christmas for someone who wasn't expecting to have one.
