If you look at the side of the field you will notice a orange box where the yellow line starts. I believe it is some sort of transmitter that the TV stations put in dynamically and use relative positioning to make it stay where it is on the screen and make it look like it's underneath the players, etc.

I agree, it is very cool and probably helps Coach's Challenges etc.

But man, New England got SLAUGHTERED.
