I went to a Christian college, and every Sunday night after church, the dining commons distributed boxed meals rather than run the kitchen and force a lot of people to work late on Sunday night. Unfortunately, this meant that the entire student body of 3,000+ young adults swarmed en masse upon the dining commons, which was right across the street from the auditorium, immediately following the service.

People ran. They ran, because if they did not run, they knew they would be forced to wait for half an hour or more in a tightly-packed mob of people just to get a small thin cardboard box containing a sandwich, chips, an apple, a dessert, and some sort of soda. It was grab bag style--you never knew what you were going to get.

No wonder the campus restaurant was always so busy on Sunday nights...
