Well, you were right that it was one I did not want to hear. I think that in a way, it was logical, though. Either way, though, I would rather hear it and hurt than have her lie to me. I pride myself on the honesty of my relationships, whether romantic or friendships, and that honesty has to be a two way street. As for her knowing the answer to the question why, in this case, I knew she did. Otherwise, I wouldn't have pursued it. (I have a lot of other unanswered "why" questions that I have asked once and given up on.) Of course, the focus of our discussion seems to have changed-- Originally we were talking about what I said in my post about wanting to know what was wrong with me, which was a case where I DID push too far, and now we're talking about why she would not want to be with me, which she and I came to a mutually satisfactory conclusion about. (The only reason I continue to argue this at all is because I got my answer, and it has helped me a lot, so I KNOW that I'm right in this situation. For other situations in general, though, I happily concede the point to you.)
