This morning I'm going to go get some new tires on the car. Let me translate that to Southern Appalachian: This mornin' I gotta go git some new tars on th' cor. (No, I didn't use the dialectizer.)

We've driven the car almost 40,000 miles on the original tires, a brand I would never buy. The score so far is two separated belts, one blowout and a flat. There is still a lot of tread on some of them. The original spare replaced the blowout at 15,000 and a new tire, same brand, replaced the first separated belt at the Toyota dealership at about 35,000. It was still under warrenty. So now I have an old second hand tire on the right rear. It's the one I used to replace the spare. And one of the front tires vibrates because of the second separated belt. My wife told me to go get four new, high-quality tires. She doesn't trust those old original-equipment tires anymore. Neither do I. I'm going to get the brand that says, "So much is riding on your tires."
