Well, now, I didn't say that soccer was the most dangerous sport ever. Hockey is very dangerous. You've got a lot of people moving all over the place at high rates of speed, wielding sticks and knocking around a small, dense object that at any moment could fly off the ice and smack someone in the head. Add to that the seeming tendency toward violent behavior that most hockey players seem to share and you've got a pretty dangerous situation on your hands. No wonder they wear so much more padding than soccer players.
