By all means, dig that scooter out and tell me about it. Utah is too far for me to drive for anything but a really rare scooter, but I can put you in touch with collectors who live nearby. Sometimes a scooter that has been left outside in a dry climate will be in better shape than it appears. I have seen some real junkers brought back by restorers. Look for a brand name on the body or engine. See if it has a gearshift, brake pedal, clutch petal, hand controls, lights, numbers etc. Even tire size can be a clue to the identity. Sometimes the brand was put on as a decal and it is completely gone. Look on the front fork, engine or body for an vin plate. As you may have guessed, I get a big kick out of identifing old scooters. I hope it's a Cushman.
