Either way, I'm glad to have you back. You seem to be the down-to-earth guy around here, which is good because I spend half my time with my head in the clouds... I guess the "old coot" label comes from the two scooter clubs that I belong to. Most people who collect vintage motor scooters are of retirement age and we sort of got into the habit of calling ourselves old coots. There are thousands of us, and we get together at meets and relive our youth through our motorscooters. When I get on my oldest scooter, a 1947 Cushman, it feels like 1947 all over again.
