Not so. Christians are those who believe that Jesus Christ was the son of God and that his death and resurrection is the only way to salvation. That most certainly does nto cover many of the groups you name - e.g., Mormons and sects.

I am a Christian. I attend a Presbyterian church. However, I never have, nor will I ever, label myself as a certain denomination. I believe that as long as you believe that which I wrote above, and honestly believe it with all of your heart, details don't quite matter so much.

neither do i.... i think people are just much more likely to respect God if he's male, so that's how they describe it, which rather makes sense. Although Strange Interlude, by eugene o'Neil, contains an interesting, and rather sensible argument, for why God should ahve been decribed as a woman.

Way too many people do that.... a metaphor I found that kinda works is, when you look at a lake you only see the surface... but that doesn't mean that's all there is. Same way with christianity.
