As far as representing different views, I don't think we're off too badly.

Liberals generally dismiss these as exaggerations to make a point. Since he is extremely liberal, he has their votes regardless.

Conservatives might dismiss these lapses by pointing out that speech has little to do with intelligence. Since he is by and large conservative, he has their votes disirregardless.

He's still running? He used to be very conservative, but he went to the Reform party and became more like Ross Perot (i.e. confused). He represents the views of somebody, I'm sure.

Yeah, he represents the views of, um, radical communists and drug addicts. At least they've got somebody they can stand behind.
