My favorites are from small children who say things like "Give us this day our jelly bread." "And to the republic for witch it stands." I read all of the Ramona Quimby books by Beverly Cleary numerous times when I was younger, and Ramona mixed up this line when she was in kindergarten. She thought it was, "Oh, say can you see by the dawnzer lee light?" She disovered her error when she asked her older sister to turn on the "dawnzer." "What?" her sister asked. "You know," said Ramona. "The dawnzer that gives a lee light."
