People my age refer to memory lapses as "senior moments." With or without Alzheimer's, it happens more and more as you get older. You forget a word in the middle of a sentence and can't bring it up no matter what you do. Sometimes it's somebody's name. By the time I was forty, I noticed that I could remember the names of students that I taught in my first year(age 24)better than the one's I taught the last year. I still remember most of that first class, but I couldn't name a dozen of the ones I taught in my last five years. I had a senior moment this morning when I was trying to spell furnature or furniture or whatever. I've been spelling that word for years with no trouble and suddenly, senior moment strikes again. Now where did I put those car keys? Howard
