You mean tabletop games? The two-player Joust (where both players sit next to each other rather than across the table from each other) is one of the rarest. A bar I used to go to had a Ms. Pacman in a converted Pacman case.

Sure. Head to an auction. Check out http://www.basementarcade.com/ for one man's collection and some ideas on what games will run you, or to http://www.usamusement.com/ , a company that hosts arcade auctions.

If you go on-line, like to eBay, you'll wind up paying too much. The shoppers on eBay really have no concept on how much arcade games cost. I recall seeing a stand-up Pac-Man going for over $500. You can pick those up for $150 or less.

Two Super Mario Brothers went for $135 recently (see the May 20th 2000 auction listings at Basement Arcade).
