Who says? With attitudes like that, we'd still be in 15th century technology. You're thinking far too linearly and not properly recognizing that it is not a linear issue. (What issues are? We make them linear to make them easier to sort through, but disregard important points and adopt skewed solutions in the process.) Issachar's entire point, as I make it, is that censorship is an incorrectly applied solution to the problem of abuse of the responsibility that comes with having freedom of speech. How does this mean the problem can't be solved instead by promoting better social values, instituting content rating programs, or any of the other number of alternative approaches one can take?

Um, no, that's not according to his view. In the very text you quoted to reply to, Issachar specifically stated that he could not tell you whether you would be corrupted or not.

koalamom did a fine job addressing your final point, which doesn't even assume a linear world but a binary one, and so I won't reply to that point here.
