I watched two races on the telly yesterday. The Indy 500 was boring, boring, boring. It was nice that a rookie won, but he lead almost the entire race and finished a country mile ahead of the field. Almost everybody got lapped or dropped out. Unlike Indy races in the old days, nobody got hurt. Thank goodness for that.
The 600 miler at Charolotte was only a little more exciting. Pit work made the difference between good and bad finishes for several teams. A rookie also won that one.
If you want to see a good race at Indianapolis, tune in the Brickyard 400. It's in early August, I think. I love watching those stock cars on flat tracks and road courses. Howard
