  I write I's with bars only when they come at the beginning of a word; when they occur in the middle of a capitalized word, they're just lines...
  Same goes for "1"s.  I write them "European-style" when they're alone, but they're just lines when found in the middle of a number.
  I have *no* clue why I write like this, either.
