Well, I know all of you are wondering how my prom and birthday went on Saturday, so here it is, in as great of detail that I can remember. Here's some backround information. I'm going to prom with a girl named Cassie. We are going with a group of friends, my friend Shane and his girlfriend Tracy, and Kelly and his date, Kari. This was all set to go down on Saturday, May 13th, which is also my birthday. Ok, now on to the events.

I was scheduled to pick her up at about 3:30 at her house. I picked her flowers up earlier that morning, and I had decided to get dressed at about 2:30. After finally getting my cufflings on, I was on my way. I arrived at her house at 3:30, and parked in the back. Since I didn't see a back door, I decided to go to the front of the house. Unfortunately, there was a huge tree branch blocking the front door. So I went around to the other side of the house and found another door, and I went inside and she ws standing there in her beautiful pick dress. Her mom took a few pictures, and then we had to go to my house to get some pictures taken. As soon as I get some pictures developed and scanned, I'll post them somewhere. After we were done there, we went to Shane's house to meet up with everyone else.

We got to his house around 4, and everyone else was already there. Our prom pictures were scheduled for 5:30, so we talked for an hour before heading out to the school. We got our pictures taken and we were shown where to walk during the grand march. After pictures, we drove 15 miles so we could grab a bite to eat. We ate at Perkins, and after we were done eating, we had to go back to the school for the grand march, which began at 8. We arrived at the school at 7:30, so we had time to mingle before the big event. About 10 to, we started lining up in the hallway. At 8, we entered the gym. Iy was extremely hot in the gym. We were number 99 out of 132, so it would be a while til we were up. I went out into the main lobby for a while, which was much cooler than the gym, and talked to some friends. About an hour after the grand marh began, we were up. I was nervous before we went on, but that feeling disappeared after we were in the spotlight. We were told to stop at the entrance, by the waterfountain, and on a bridge. So after the grand march, we all hung out for a while until the actual dance started. The dance didn't start until about 10. We missed the first slow dance, but we were there for the other 4. We mainly danced as a group, each person doing his or her own little dance. I managed to get a couple dances in with a couple other friends too. I danced with Cassie 3 times, and Tracy wanted me to dance with her, so for one of the slow dances, I danced with her. The whole prom thing got over about 12:30, and then it was time to get ready for post-prom.

We headed to Shane's house so that we could all change into some more comfortable clothes, and we headed to the ballroom where it was held. It wasn't that exciting, just a bunch of games and a bunch of loud music, so you couldn't have a very good conversation. I managed to win 10 dollars and some pop. The best part of post prom was the hypnotist. These people did some very funny things. The last thing he had them do is he had someone pretend to be Ricky Martin, and he recruited some dancer and musicians. Everyone else was a fan, pretending they loved Ricky. One of the girls was so into it that she was screaming with excitment when "Ricky" was on stage. After the hypnotist, it was time to leave. The time was about 5 in the morning. After everyone got their gifts and 5 dollars for attending, we headed home. I took Cassie and Tracy home first, since they live so close to each other, and then I took Kari home. I finally got back to my friend's house at around 8, and I went to sleep for 5 hours. Then I got up and went home. That was my favorite birthday ever.
