I know exactly what you're talking about - I've had to edit registries in regedit more then I would have liked to. That's another one of the reasons why I'm reformating the drive - the regedit key is so messed up and contains so much stuff that isn't even in my computer anymore that I'd like to start fresh. I'd also like to get it so that Windows 98 would start up properly instead of giving me a multitude of error messages. (I messed with the boot files so that instead of automatically shutting off the computer, it just makes me whack a key). Still, I'm going to skim through each entry in regedit just in case there's something that I might need later on.
