Now I'm looking forward more than ever to a get-together. I've had a score for a set of cello, harp and flute trios for ages now and nobody to play them with... if there's ever a RinkUnion I'll mail copies to you a couple of months beforehand, how about it? > Of course, this would probably only work if everyone else was coming *here*. Many airlines are relaxed on hand-luggage dimensions but a four and a half octave lever harp doesn't fit into any overhead compartment *I've* ever seen. :-) > > Brunnen-"harp, clarsach, guitar, flute, mandolin, tin whistle, bagpipes, recorder and, uh, whatever else is lying around"G
Wow, Brunnen-G; I'm jealous. :-)
Yep, I'm another musical geek. It was a natural for me, I suppose - that "full of hot air" bit and all. I've been dying to learn the harp since fourth grade. However, since they were somewhat more portable and less expensive, I ended up with violin... which led to voice, bassoon, recorder, clarinet, saxophone, viola, and, well, anything else I can get my hands on.
Granted, I don't show up on the RinkForum all that much (not half so often as I'd like), but if there's any sort of get-together, I'll bring my "arsenal"...
(I still think I might have some sort of future in this, and even if not, oh, well; I'm majoring in bassoon next year along with cognitive science. ::crosses fingers:: And I have still never touched a harp and am dying to learn...)
