Yes, there is a narrative poem by Lewis Carroll called "The Hunting of the Snark". It's not connected to the Alice stories. It's about a group of people who go hunting for a snark, what happens along the way, and what happens when one of the group finally finds the snark.

It's apparently available from Project Gutenberg; I've included a link at the bottom of this message.
