It has happened to other users before, but I don't think it's an Enchanted Forest bug but rather a browser bug. In theory, it should be impossible for a pure CGI-based program like EF to crash a browser. The CGI programs aren't being run in the browser but rather on the web server, and all the CGI program does is spit back HTML pages.

So what I think happened is that whatever browser you're using is not set up handle the particular irregular use that EF and AGL require of it; the stack of pages in your history (that you cycle through when you hit 'back' a bunch of times) gets HUGE, and there is not just a URL associated with each one but all the data about the state of the game (that gets submitted to the web server behind the scenes whenever you make a move).

I am not sure, but I think one thing you can do to work around this bug is every twenty moves or so, go back to the login page (it's faster to get there via the "go" menu than it is the back button), log in again, and pick up from there.
