I already know Java. I'm just more comfortable in C++ or perl using CGI. When and if I do start using Java on the site, it will be a very limited use. Too many people can't run Java programs off the web, and it's generally a hassle or an annoyance unless you're aware what's going on ahead of time. I expect to limit the use of Java on RinkWorks to the games, which would be primarily to eliminate the lag time between moves.
