I missed his call last night, and he didn't call me back -- or if he did, he couldn't get through for some reason. But he left a message on my machine. He made it to Colorado last night, safe and sound, but he doesn't have phone service in his new place just yet, so it still may be a while before he's able to show up online again.

It was kind of funny, actually. Our answering machine is in our bedroom, but the phone with caller ID is in the kitchen. We checked the caller ID history when Leen and I returned from an outing and saw that someone from Colorado had called. So we called the number back, but there was no answer. Then I went downstairs and checked the answering machine, and one of the first things he said was, "If you got a number from caller ID, don't call it back, because it's not my number; it's a pay phone." Oops.
