After one day and two nights back from California, WMM and I hit the trail for Lake Charles, La. We were gone three days, drove 1675 miles and brought back a....
Drum roll please.
... 1963 Cushman Super Silver Eagle which had been sitting in a garage for 20 years waiting for me to come and discover it. The red paint had faded to orange and the chrome on the handlebars is pitted, but otherwise it is in remarkable condiditon.

This baby has the 9 hp OMC aluminum engine, with electric starter. It has features my other scooters don't have, like a speedometer and a two speed transmission. And that electric starter is good news for my old bones. It has as much horsepower as my '47 and my '61 put together.
No, it's not a step-through design like my other scooters. It looks like a motorcycle with small wheels, but it rounds out the collection nicely and I am pleased with it. I plan to polish it up a bit and show it in the unrestored class at the Spring meet.
If I can figure out this __________ digital camera, I show you pictures.
More on the travel adventures later. Howard
