In all honesty, I don't think I've seen more than six or seven episodes of the TV series, three of which I rented on video. I'd have to say that the movie was at least on par with, if not better than, any of those TV episodes. The intermission sequences, of course, merely have to be endured--no, actually there are some laughs there as well--but their choice of "This Island Earth" as the film to bash was impeccable, and what made the movie *really* funny instead of just "kinda" funny. That movie really provided wonderful material for the MST3K writers from start to finish.
