Mwa ha... I am then the undisputable king of Exterminator, with my amazing high score of *TEN* points! I get bored with it too quickly to do much better... I can play a few levels, but then it just becomes monotonous.

And I disagree with your Doom comment - Doom takes much more strategy and planning than it takes reflexes. That's why, in this era of true-3d monster shooters, I still think Doom is the best - it takes strategy and careful planning, while most of the new breed do seem to be primarily reflex-oriented and attempt to fix this by adding "puzzles." If you've ever played Doom on UV, though, the only way through (short of memorizing all the levels so well you could get through the game with your eyes closed (I knew someone who could finish the old Ninja Gaiden like that)) is to move very slowly and carefully, and to make every bullet and every armor helmet count. And to know which weapon is the best choice against whatever you're fighting, and exactly what the differences are among the weapons; know when to use the chainsaw, and when to use the plasma cannon.

Speaking of the plasma cannon, I'm always amazed when I flip on the god mode / all weapons codes and go frag some low-level beasties at just how quickly the plasma hose will mow them down. Crowds of Daemons just drop like flies! :-}

Dar "Quake? What's that?" ien
