He didn't seem to really understand the technical issues I talked about, anyway, as his eyes glazed over when I started talking about technical stuff.

Had an interview like that once....she had a dot matrix printer going during the whole interview....I was working up all kinds of excuses to my recruiter for my failure the whole Friday-afternoon-drive home.

By the time I got home that evening, there was a message on the machine....offering me the job and asking if I could start Monday. Never underestimate the glazed eye look. That was my first job in California...changed my life and my direction forever.
