I had a lot of things on my mind at the time, and I said(wrote?) some things without thought. I'm going to read up on this issue a bit more in the hopes that if the subject ever arises again, I'll not offend anybody and/or look like an idiot.

Mel, read Sam's posts below in the thread about moderation in the message forum and his new deletion thingy. A lot of us have had posts deleted and it's not because of anything personal.

I'm sure Sam has already thought of this, but I just thought it might be a good idea to point something out: if everybody whose posts get deleted feels like they have to apologise on the forum, it'll kill the whole point of Sam trying to keep the forum to a reasonable size and quality. My theory is, if I ever post anything here that genuinely upsets or offends someone, they should either email me or talk to me in chat about it so we can sort things out. If they can't be bothered doing that, they shouldn't be bothering to get offended on the forum in the first place.

Brunnen-"actually, I only said that because I want some non-work-related email ... let's see, now who shall I offend first?"G
