All taken care of. The other time classes were mentioned in this thread was as a bad thing -- that characters shouldn't be "locked" into a particular class, but rather the skills that go along with classes fluctuate as stats, and the player would have a measure of control over how they develop. That works too, but the engine I've already got uses classes, so that's what I'm going to do for the web game. Personally I like having classes, because it provides a more obvious and tangible form of character development. Seeing "Warrior" listed next to a name inspires the imagination more than "Strength: 30" does. But you can also change classes, which means you aren't truly "locked" into the classes. And in fact, much of the strategy of the game involves how you should change your parties' classes and most efficiently build their strengths.

I'll keep your comments on multi-player in mind, too. Thanks for your suggestions!
