Well, did they ask Tim Burton? -He's got some experience at putting a superhero up on the silver screen. (And wasn't it you, Spider-Boy, who listed Batman in your favorite movies?? ...I thought it was..) -Could be worse, imagine a 'feel good' teeniebopper film about Spidey dealing with dating and social issues directed by John Hughes. -Or something just plain wacky by Mel Brooks. -Imagine Spider Man as a short neurotic played by the director himself, Woody Allen.
Personally, I'd probably go with James Cameron. Tell me that Aliens or Terminator 2 didn't have touches of comedy mingled in with the fear and killing and whatnot. He'd probably make it quite the fun little flick.
