I don't collect anything quite so strange as scooters, but I do collect something that seems a natural to collect -- and yet I've never met anybody else who did. I collect playing cards. They're exceptionally collectable -- there's several different major manufacturers to follow and countless styles, especially in the tourist industry. (You can get souvenir playing cards from just about anywhere you go.) There's a lot of interesting manufacturer mistakes that can happen (upside down printing is a common one, and almost never noticed when you're just playing with them), and lots of novelty cards (I have round cards, square cards, zigzag shaped cards, cards with the wrong colors for the suits, etc). I particularly like the decks with different pictures on the each of the cards.
