Dialectizer -- the saga continues

Some of you may be amused by the wealth of additions I have pretty much been forced to add to the Dialectizer. For those of you remotely interested in my personal hassles (hey, who wouldn't be interested in *that*??), check this out.

As the last Market Game showed, the Dialectizer has received quite an increase in traffic recently, and that means more people confused about what the Dialectizer does. I don't mind saying I'm a little tired of the few people out there who have accused me of violating their copyrights.

To help alleviate the problem, I have added a few explanatory pages (a nice long legal disclaimer and, perhaps the most interesting of the new pages, I expanded the "why this isn't a copyright violation" page -- check it out -- it does a decent job, I think, of illustrating how insidious all this is).

In addition, I made an important change in the way it works that will be a minor inconvenience to some who want to link directly to dialectized pages from their own sites, but one that will not only do a great deal (I _hope_!) of reducing the confusion but also nail the Dialectizer "thieves" as an added bonus. As an example, visit the site below (which I emphasize is *NOT* violating any policy of mine about linking to the Dialectizer), and click on one of the last links -- the one that refers to the Cockney accent. Before, that link would send you directly to a dialectized version of his page. Now it does the same thing but with an intermediate stop. On this intermediate stop, look at the "why this intermediate page was necessary" page for more information.

I guess I'm amused by the necessity for me to add all this explanatory material because if I were not amused, I would be frustrated and annoyed -- and resentful that such boring demands were made on my RinkWorks development time when it could have been spent on new projects. But if any of this new stuff helps me out in the future, it's more than worth it.
