Perils of Akumos - Boosters

Totally stuck and I'm not sure why. I'm sure the boosters should be aligned South-South-North-South-South-North but nothing seems to happen when I do that - no change in dialogue from Kevin Johnson or the maintenance techs. Have tried a few other combinations but I'm sure it should be that one, nothing else makes sense. What am I missing?
