Vampire Island: Thunder Gag?

I just beat Vampire Island for the first time, second time if you count the "sail away without doing anything" as beating it. When I checked the Hall of Fame, Thunder Gag was unchecked. What is this Thunder Gag? Does it effect the ending? Is there any better ending then the "be rich, read Get Fuzzy" ending?
