Well, considering you can use (almost) any 3 shards to get the dynamite (other than the one you get when you stow away - that one you have to use), here are some hints on the different locations;

1) you must cross that stream for one
2) in the mines, around the pipe
3) From the miner that gave you the sledgehammer
4) Have you cracked a safe?
5) Have you looked in the bad guy's office?
6) Have you used the dynamite (you get multiple shards when you do this)?

> I have 4 of the 6 shards I need (not counting the ones I traded to get dynamite). I have no idea where I got the ones I have now are, so hints about how to get all of 6 of them would be helpful. I definitely HAVEN'T crossed the stream yet so need help with that. Also, is there anything else I need to do before making the tachyon shield based on my inventory?
