This is actually the same thing I was thinking. Haven't we been down this road before, Fox? Give a diminishing franchise over to a respected foreign director, and hope for the best?

The real question is: how long until we get an X-Men reboot? Five years? It was eight years between Batman and Robin and Batman Begins, but I imagine the reboot cycle is getting shorter.
