I was just wondering, since this seems to be a site full of quite of a few film aficionados, what people here thought of Slumdog Millionaire. It doesn't seem to have been reviewed for At-a-glance Film Reviews yet, which is a shame.

I thought it was a fantastic movie, definitely one of the best I've ever seen. I really wonder what the other best picture contenders look like, since I haven't had the chance to catch all of them yet, but they must be pretty terrific if they can beat Slumdog. I thought The Dark Knight and Wall-E were pretty good, but after seeing Slumdog, I don't think either of them stands much of a chance of getting the best picture Oscar.
