Check out one of the RinkWorks features that contains a bunch of different games (not AGL or the Role-Player's Vault). One of those games has a gameplay that closely resembles the action that occurs in chapter 7 of The Duke of Gloom.

Thank you! I figured it out with this. :) I had actually played that game before, but didn't notice the connection with the hints, but of course now it seems so obvious.
